ANITYA BHAVANA
Human beings cannot avoid change. Change is occurring all the time. We see that our inner world undergoing change. Mental and emotional level changes. Social level also changes. The very capacity of this natural world is changefulness Change is inevitable and integral part of life.
The only factor present in our life is change which we all experience as a continuous processes we grow and learn in life. Our deep rooted attachments, strong likes and dislikes, non- acceptance and reaction is a main cause of all our sufferings. If we change our attitude, outlook towards life then our attitude towards pain and pleasure will also change. So the mind requires the constant diet of wholesome bhavanas . Such thinking must be drilled in, it helps to counter old samsakaras.
So Anitya Bhavana need to practice as Swadhaya . Self studies between self and non-self taken from the Jain philosophy the beginning of self connection.
Here Anitya means impermanent and Bhavana means pool of emotions.
Let me share the passage of Anitya Bhavana:
"What was in the morning is not at mid-day;What was at mid-day is not at midnight; For all things are transitory; our body which is all kind of human efforts is as transitory as the scattering clouds. All our objects of pleasure are changing, wealth is as transitory as a wave, youth like a cotton particle blown off in the whirl wind and opportunities like fleeting dreams. Why should I be attached to anything when nothing is permanent and everything is changing. Why should I be attached to anything when nothing is permanent and when everything is changing"
Ponder over this for some seconds....!
So Anitya bhavana focusses on Mental detachment reflecting at the impermanent nature of things. Our mind becomes calm and relax. We are too much attached to our problems, so after pondering over it, we should always say in tough situations " All this too shall Pass" nothing to remain permanent.
INHALE AND EXHALE AND TAKE A DEEP BREATH !
Much Gratitude!!!!!
